Use an old computer for outdoor time lapse photography. If your computer's value is less than the cost of a new webcam, this project is for you! Haul that thing outside and do some time lapse photography on the cheap. With a computer driven solution, you can take extremely long time lapse videos. For example, you can photograph a plant during spring by setting up the computer to take a picture every few minutes. Or for an extremely long term project, take a photo of a spot everyday and create a 'four seasons' video.
